Background on "Appendology” (LAA Closure)

Chairmen: Sacha Salzberg (@HeartClinicZH) & DJ Lakkireddy (@IslaaFoundation)

In this first session we learnt all about the left atrial appendage. In particular the background information on why we must address this small, but very important cardiac structure.

Session on concomitant LAA Closure

Chairmen: Sacha Salzberg (@HeartClinicZH) & Thierry Aymard (@HeartClinicZH)

What data is there on surgical LAA closure. What do surgeons need to know about when and how to close the LAA. What is status of the much expected LAAOS III trial. Many more aspects on concomitant LAA closure to illustrate this fascinating field.
